Howick Industry Education Event

Automation technologies promise increased labor efficiency, reduced waste, and enhanced opportunity for customization. Framing Automation will explore automated digital design-to-fabrication workflows in the context of one of these technologies – the Howick automated framing machine. Through a series of short presentations followed by a panel discussion and equipment demonstration, Framing Automation will expose the state of the art in automated light-gauge steel framing technology, demonstrate the value proposition for the adoption of such technologies, and speculate on the near-term future of automated computation design-to-automated framing production.

Come join us for this Industry day event hosted by Howick in the Autodesk BUILD Space in the Seaport district of Boston. This event is geared toward AEC professionals, but all are welcome!

Framing Automation will include representatives from:

Howick Ltd. – Is a world-renowned, roll forming machine manufacturer, based in East Auckland, New Zealand. They have their machines in over 70+ countries around the world and are celebrating 40 years in business.

KHS&S West – Is rated by ENR 2016 as the second largest specialty wall and ceiling contractor in the US. They were named California 2017 Specialty Contractor of the year.

CentralCeilings – Is a specialty contractor based in the Boston focused on wood & steel framing, drywall, ceilings, and related services, and was the contractor to Turner Construction for the third-floor build out of the Autodesk BUILD Space.

StrucSoft Solutions – Is a software developer of a special framing design and engineering application for cold-formed steel that sits inside of REVIT. They will be providing a live demonstration of how their software works.
