A Virtual Weekend Training for those wanting to multiply disciples and churches until there is #NoPlaceLeft.

Put on by Engage Memphis Initiative of Faith Baptist Church.This is an interactive virtual weekend training for those who want to multiply disciples and churches amongst various peoples and places. This training comes at an important time as our country and the rest of the world is much more open to the gospel due to the Covid-19 epidemic. People are looking for hope, and the body of Christ is looking for ways to engage the lost and continue fulfilling the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20).We will discuss God&#x27;s Heart for reaching the lost and learn a biblical pattern and simple tools to help engage the lost, share the gospel, disciple new believers, and gather disciples into healthy churches or online groups that multiply. Everything learned can be easily reproduced and be adapted to be done virtually by using FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts, and other technology available. We aim to elevate the importance of abiding deeply with Christ, depending on His Word for ourselves and teaching others, walking in the Spirit, and learning very practical tools that help us in the Great Commission. We will especially learn strategic ways to obey the Great Commission during the Covid-19 epidemic. Know someone interested in training? Please invite them and send them to this event page. It will be like a webinar but we will be able to interact and even break up into virtual small groups for discussion. You will learn how to use Zoom and its features during the training. Anyone at home with a laptop, desktop, iPad, or smart phone can join.WHEN:Friday, April 24th from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. + Saturday, April 25th from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Central TimeIMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:* Please see homework section at bottom so you are prepared.After registration, a zoom link will be emailed to you for the day the event starts. Zoom is a free software that will be downloaded onto your computer when you click the link OR it&#x27;s suggested that you pre-download the application by going to <a href="https://zoom.us" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Zoom.us</a> prior to the event starting Friday at 6pm. This online event will be secure by a waiting room feature. This feature will be noticed: when you click on the link, you will be in a waiting room to be checked off before being added to the larger group.TIPS FOR A SMOOTH AND ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE - A laptop or desktop with a larger screen is preferred but if you have to use a smart phone, set your phone horizontal and place on a table for stability and not hold in your hand. Have your device plugged up to a charger before starting.-It is important to have reliable internet and that may mean a certain room of your home. Sometimes disabling your video feed may help if its lagging but its strongly encouraged not to disable your video so we can see one another and interact in a more normal way (feel free to wear comfy clothes).- Be prepared. Make a plan for your children accordingly (it&#x27;s ok if they want to join!) Make a cup of coffee. Have a notebook and pen ready. Computer paper handy will be a bonus.-Find a quiet room that is comfortable and minimize background noises. During large sessions we will all be muted but it&#x27;s best to keep unmuted when we join smaller break-out rooms. This will be shown how to do, so no worries if this is unfamiliar.-Turn cell phone and notifications on your computer off or at least silence them. Minimizing distractions is key. Please try not to multitask or use your phone during the training.-Take a few minutes to pray before you even click on the link. Ask the Lord to help you focus and for Him to work in and through you however He desires. -We will take plenty of 10-15 minute breaks and about a 45 minute lunch break. It will be good idea to get up and walk about for a short bit and refill that coffee during the breaks. :) HOMEWORK:Please read Mark 4:1-34 and Acts chapters 2, and 13-14. You will be asked if you read this at the training :) This is very important. Bonus points if you map out Paul&#x27;s first journey in Acts 13 and 14.Please plan to attend both Friday night and Saturday, and stay until 4:00 p.m.
