About this event

Fountain Community Garden Volunteer Days

Located on Fountain Avenue near the iconic 101 Freeway, Fountain Community Gardens (FCG) was founded June 6, 2009 by the City of Los Angeles to create a beautiful and peaceful oasis in East Hollywood for organic community gardening. FCG provides a diverse, inclusive space for anyone interested in growing their own fruits and vegetables. We have volunteer days every second Saturday of the month. Join us for a fun-filled day of gardening at FCG! Our volunteer days are a great way to give back to the community and connect with fellow green thumbs. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, everyone is welcome to lend a hand.

From turning our compost piles, spreading mulch, to weeding and cleaning up boxes, there's always something to do in our garden. You'll also have the chance to chat with other gardening enthusiasts, share tips, and make new friends.

No prior experience is necessary, as we will provide all the tools and guidance needed. Just bring your enthusiasm, energy, and a willingness to get your hands dirty!

Remember to wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for outdoor work. We also recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.

So mark your calendars and join us for the Fountain Community Garden Volunteer Days! Together, we can make our community bloom.
