Wildflowers and Sugaring History

Wildflowers! Gorgeous little beauties carpet the forest floor on the Eagle Trail along the East Branch Reservoir.

Delicate and fleeting, these spring ephemerals’ flowers bloom for mere days each year, and only in undisturbed forest soils, making them ever rarer to find. So don’t miss your chance to see a remarkable diverse display while walking beneath enormous old sugar maples with Naturalist Vicki Solomon. Bring your camera.

Meet at Headwaters NORTH Entrance 15055 Mayfield Rd. about a half mile east of Rt. 608 Old State Rd.

Carpool if possible and please park closely in the gravel lot because space is limited.
