Despite its name, this picturesque parcel of parkland no longer has any porcine presence. However, it is rich in natural features and history. This section is located on Swine Creek Road just east of Hayes Road’s dead end as a separate section of Swine Creek Reservation, apart from the main park. This will be a two mile hike that crosses Swine Creek, traverses beautiful woodland as it ascends to the rim of its scenic valley to the former track bed of the B & O Lake Branch Railroad. Well worth the uphill walking.
Sturdy waterproof hiking shoes recommended.
