The City of Rochester Hill’s Parks & Natural Resources Department, through their Outdoor Engagement unit, holds multiple programs for individuals and families throughout the year that highlight the many natural offerings available.

Rochester Hills Outdoor Engagement

Join us along the banks of the Clinton River in search of fossils!

Bloomer Park

Search for fossils along the scenic Clinton River while roasting s’mores over a riverside fire. Learn about some local plants and animals while we try to identify the fossils we find. You might even be lucky enough to find a Petoskey stone! For all ages (children under 14 must be accompanied by a paid adult). Participants will meet at the Velodrome. Please arrive on time as program content starts promptly. As a courtesy to wildlife and other participants, please leave your pets at home. Content such as changes/maps will be sent via email leading up to the program. Pre-registration is required.
