<P>Please join us for <EM>Fortified</EM>, a special weekend event at Fort Totten Park to highlight the under-appreciated significance of the Fort Totten Battery sites!</P>
<P><EM>Fortified </EM>will offer visitors a series of temporary art installations and public access tours -- providing open access to the Fort Totten Water Battery and rare access to the Main Magazine and Endicott Battery sites. </P>
<P><EM>“Fort Totten is one of the city's most spectacular hidden treasures.  And, for one weekend, Fortified will provide open access to some of the most historic, <EM><SPAN>fascinating</SPAN></EM>, and beautiful sites in New York!!"</EM></P>
<P><EM>Fortified </EM>will be open to the public on Saturday (6/15) and Sunday (6/16) from 12pm-4pm -- with special events in the Main Magazine and Endicott Battery taking place hourly throughout the weekend.</P>
<P>Bring your dad to the event (either day) for a free chance to win tickets to summer tours and <SPAN>photographic </SPAN>prints courtesy of our organizing artist and media sponsors!</P>

<LI>Access to the Water Battery is ADA accessible.</LI>

<H4><STRONG>What are my transportation/parking options for the event?</STRONG></H4>

<LI>Visitor Parking will be available at the main park entrance.</LI>
<LI>Public Transportation (subway): Take the 7 train to Main Street.</LI>
<LI>Public Transportation (bus): Take the Q16 or Q13 bus to Fort Totten.</LI>
<LI>Public Transportation (Railroad): Take the LIRR Port Washington Line.</LI>
<LI>Alternatively, please walk, run, bike, or helicopter if possible.<BR></LI>

<H4><STRONG>What can I bring into the event?</STRONG></H4>

<LI>Closed toe footwear is required for the Endicott Battery tour.</LI>
<LI>Personal flashlights are required for Main Magazine access.</LI>
<LI>Please NO bikes, skateboards, or roller skates. (Strollers are okay!)</LI>
<LI>Drones are not permitted in any NYC Parks.</LI>
