Forest Stewardship Volunteer Opportunity
Come join us at New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary to volunteer and help our staff manage our forest! Theses in-person volunteer days allow you to get hands-on experience in caring for our beautiful forests. Help maintain trails, and learn about and remove invasive species. This will be a recurring event. Please register for one or more days!
Please make sure to wear long sleeves and plants , bring bug spray & suncreen, Please wear comfortable clothes, shoes that can get muddy, and bring a water bottle. We will be using gloves, hand clippers, pruners, lopers and our hands to pull invasives. If you have a prefered set you enjoy using at home please bring them.
You will be asked to fill out a volunteer form upon arrival. Please meet in our upper parking lot near the garage doors.
