About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

This Mother’s Day, treat yourself or the special woman in your life to a unique restorative sound healing experience in the woods.

Immerse yourselves in nature as the sounds of crystal singing bowls, chimes, and a variety of soothing instruments guide your meditation.

This special 75-minute session will take place at the Glacial Erratic, a 15-minute walk from the main parking lot. For the easiest route, take the Old Sleepy Hollow Road Trail, or for an “off-road” experience, take Nature’s Way, both depart from the main parking lot.

We encourage you to begin or end your journey at the Visitor Center courtyard to admire the beauty of the peony garden.

Please arrive 30 minutes early to account for parking and walking to the site. The lot may be full when you arrive; be prepared to park on Rt. 117 and walk from there.

Please bring a yoga mat and other comforts that are easy to carry, such as a pillow and blanket. Insect repellent is advised.

Max: 30 people. Ages 10+.

Parking: $6 per vehicle.

Rockefeller State Park Preserve was created through several farsighted and generous gifts to the State of New York by the Rockefeller Family since 1983. It is designated as a “park-preserve” to highlight and protect its natural, historical, and cultural values. Its network of carriage trails wind through scenic forests, fields, and wetlands, which provide important habitat for native plants and wildlife.

The Preserve Office and Gallery are open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and are located at 125 Phelps Way, Pleasantville, N.Y. 10570.
