“Adventuring Outdoors” – the new NST Forest School & Outdoor Learning Network.
Who is it for?  For anyone interested in developing outdoor learning experiences underpinned by Forest School principles in NST schools.
What will we do?

<LI>Provide information from National Organisations relating to relevant research and good practice development.</LI>
<LI>Be inspired by each other; sharing ideas and resources and finding out more about a forest school approach (even if you don’t have a woodland space).</LI>
<LI>Professional Development Opportunities – specialist speakers and signposting.</LI>
<LI>Opportunities for professional dialogue around current challenges and barriers.</LI>
<LI>Provide a shared bank of e-resources.</LI>

Why should I come?

This is a unique opportunity to meet with colleagues once a term and to focus on learning with a forest school philosophy, incorporating an adventurous approach for our children. 
Each half term, we will visit a different forest school or outdoor provision area and will work together to learn from one another in order to develop in our own schools. We will consider challenges such as logistics, finance, resourcing, planning, staffing and time management.
We will learn from each other as well as bringing in outside expertise to make sure that we are well equipped and inspired to achieve best practice within our teams and settings. The intention is that the network will respond to needs identified by you.
The network will be led by a group of experienced forest school practitioners but the success of the depends on the contribution of us all. We hope to see you there.
