Forest Bath - Spring Refresh!
For those who want to stay human and slow down to receive clarity in a time of exponential change.
Forest Bath - Spring Refresh!
Join us in the oak, bays, and redwoods above Strawberry Creek watershed as we slow down to sync up with the season, releasing old stagnant energy or worries and making way for what’s new and emerging, in service of our collective thriving.
Forest bathing, or Shinrin-yoku, isthe Japanese practice of immersing oneself in nature through the five senses to promote health and well-being. It is not a form of exercise like hiking or running; instead, it is a mindful, low-impact practice focused on presence and sensory connection, with benefits including a boost to your immune system, reduced stress/ inflammation/anxiety and depression, and a better night's sleep.
Sammy Kanofsky, seasoned forest bathing guide and lover of all things wild, will guide the group through sensory awareness exercises and prompts for solo exploration, along with group conversation and ritual to release old patterns. Come ready to meet other nature loving people, relax in a beautiful forest atmosphere, and open your ears to the refreshing sounds of spring!
