FORCE11 is a community of scholars, librarians, archivists, publishers and research funders that has arisen organically to help facilitate the change toward improved knowledge creation and sharing. Individually and collectively, we aim to bring about a change in modern scholarly communications through the effective use of information technology.FORCE11 has grown from a small group of like-minded individuals into an open movement with clearly identified stakeholders associated with emerging technologies, policies, funding mechanisms and business models.

FORCE2019 will be held October 16 and 17, 2019 at the BT Murrayfield Rugby Stadium, with pre-conference workshops at the Grosvenor Hotel on October 15.
The FORCE11 annual conference is a different kind of meeting, where stakeholders come together – or scrummage – for an open discussion, on an even playing field, to talk about changing the ways scholarly and scientific information is communicated, shared and used. Researchers, publishers, librarians, computer scientists, informaticians, funders, educators, citizens, and others attend the FORCE11 meeting with a view to supporting the realisation of promising new ideas and identifying new potential collaborators.

Who should attend? Scientists, publishers, librarians, computer scientists, informaticians, funders, educators, citizens, patients, and more from all sectors of the scholarly landscape.
Why FORCE2019?  FORCE11 conferences are a place for all stakeholders to come to the table for open discussion and on an even playing field to support innovation and coordination across perspectives. Its a time to create new partnerships/collaborations and support exisiting implementations of creative ideas.

Pricing All prices are in USD. FORCE2019 registration fees cover catering and venue costs. We offer three pricing tiers: Student, Non-Profit/Academic/Govt, and Industry. Honor system on self-selecting appropriate tier.  Student Prices are subsidized by other tiers and are available while supplies last. Early Bird pricing for other tiers will be offered until September 1 or while supplies last, whichever comes first. 
Unable to pay?  We don't want to turn away anyone because they lack funds. Please contact <A HREF="mailto:force2019@force11.org" TARGET="_blank" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">FORCE2019</A> organizers if you are unable to pay and we will see what we can do.
