About this event

Food & Drink • Food

This three-part program series explores the deep connection between food, culture, and personal memory. Each session features a unique theme, a cooking demo, and creative writing prompts to help participants explore their own food stories. Participation in each session is not required but is welcome.

Theme: The Flavor of Home

This session is all about the food we grew up with. We'll explore how specific dishes, ingredients, and smells create a sense of place and belonging. The taste of a certain meal can instantly transport us back to a childhood kitchen or a holiday gathering. We'll discuss how these early food memories shape our relationship with food and connect us to our familiar faces and cultural heritage.

Seating is first come, first served.

You may register to receive reminders(optional).

Session 2: Mission Library - Saturday, Dec. 6 from 1-3 p.m.

Session 3: Central Park Library - Saturday, Jan. 17 from 1-3 p.m.

Presented in partnership with Second Harvest of Silicon Valley.
