Battle for the South's Best Fondue! Who will melt under the pressure?

It’s time to stir the pot and name The South’s Best Fondue! We’re excited to be partnering with multiple of our top producers, Maker to Monger, Gourmino, Jasper Hill Farm, Roger's Collection, and Smoking Goose in hosting our third annual Fonduel! Six regional cheese shops and local chefs will be competing for the title of "The South's Best Fondue!"


Enjoy a night of all you can eat fondue from some of the region's best chefs and mongers, a live demo from Adam Moskowitz (fondue master and owner of Maker to Monger) and Joe Salonia (from Gourmino affinage and selection in Switzerland), our own high quality cheese and charcuterie grazing table, and socializing over some warm and tasty fondue from some of the area's best chefs and mongers! A cash bar hosted by Tre Luna Catering will be available for wine and beer purchases.


This charity event is to bring education and awareness to one of our community partners, Jones Valley Teaching Farm, while also celebrating and indulging in traditional fondue. Jones Valley's mission is to educate Birmingham City Schools on food, farming, and culinary arts through cross-curricular lessons, field trips, leadership opportunities, internships, and the pursuit of post-secondary pathways. A mission we stand behind and embrace through food traditions and authentic farming practices present in each of these sponsors' production and distribution.


This event will be in typical Swiss fashion, outdoors, rain or shine. So come bundled up!
