how may we inhabit a recipe?
This unique 2-hour workshop will incorporate writing, dance, movement explorations, stories, and spoken word ~ opening up space for creativity, personal expression, and collective experience.
We will guide participants through a series of exercises exploring recipe writing as a source for storytelling, movement and embodied expression - how may we move through a recipe? What gestures spill out of words - and what words out of gestures?
Inês and Anna-Lise will create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where participants, with or without dance and writing experience, can explore creative expression through words and movement.
We will explore:
~ Writing within and outside the boundaries of traditional recipes
~ Movement improvisation inspired by words, texts, and embodied associations
~ Storytelling and creative expression through the body, written and spoken word
~ Collective sharing
Workshop Information:
— Saturday 14th May, 11:00 - 13:00 CET
— Online via Zoom
— The workshop will be led in English
— Payment also available via Vipps (NOK) and Paypal (EUR) - contact the host for details at info@anna-lisemarie.com

About the facilitators:
Inês Neto dos Santos and Anna-Lise Marie Hearn, are artists whose work and interests have intertwined for many years.
Inês Neto dos Santos (she/her)
Inês Neto dos Santos is a multi-disciplinary artist, born in Lisbon and based in London/Brussels. She completed an MA in Visual Communication at Royal College of Art (2016) and a BA in Graphic Design and Illustration at London College of Communication (2013).
Her practice moves between performance, installation and social sculpture, investigating the socio-political implications of what we eat and how we come to eat it. In her work, Inês creates contexts and frameworks through which to explore collaboration, generosity, care and togetherness. In recent years she has delved into the practical and metaphorical dimensions of fermentation, as a gateway into our enmeshed, multispecies existence. More recently, her research has led her into the study of beans and their soil regeneration qualities, investigating their relationship to supported sustenance and care.
Inês has been a guest lecturer at Kingston University, Brighton University, Central Saint Martins and Westminster University. Since March 2021, she has co-lead the online course Food Cosmogonies with artist Nora Silva, a programme which seeks to propose food as central to the world-making process.

Anna-Lise Marie Hearn (she/her)
Anna-Lise Marie Hearn is a British-Norwegian dance and movement artist based between Oslo, Berlin, and London. She works across the dance sector as a choreographer, movement artist, dance educator, artist coach and choreographic coach.
Anna-Lise’s artistic practice deals with the intertwining of physical and emotional expressions of being, seeing the body as a vessel for our life’s experience. Anna-Lise uses dance and movement to find a textural, emotive language that can express what cannot be articulated in words; felt sensations, embodiment, and physical relatability. Anna-Lise specialises in movement improvisation and composition, which acts as an important part of her creative process. She uses improvisation as an approach to create work that promotes generosity and deeper research, allowing for spontaneity and visceral, bodily reactions to the material she is working with.
