Come and join us for a Feminist Open Government (FOGO) networking event on the evening of May 28th
We believe in the power of community and think it is important to create a safe space** where we can build strong relationships within our different communities:
- We know how hard it can be to travel to a new city and to attend a big conference where you don’t always know a lot of other people.
- We hope that you will come and join us for a fun networking evening that will comprise some snacks and networking activities.
- We look forward to getting to know you before we work together on the 29th to build a coalition of change!
- We want to make sure that FOGO day will be a meaningful and engaging experience for each and every one of the participants.
** To make sure that all of the participants feel safe and comfortable in our event, we think it is important to reiterate the values of openness, tolerance and that it is crucial that historically marginalized and underrepresented voices can express their perspectives and experiences without being questioned or undermined. For more details on the appropriate conduct to observe in all Summit related event, please consult the Code of Conduct on Page 10 of the Participant Guide, which applies to any pre-conference events, side-events, and networking sessions and receptions.

About the Event
This event is the evening before the Feminist Open Government Day on May 29th. You can optionally register for the FOGO day on Eventbrite. Please note all FOGO day participants must also register for the OGP Summit, however, networking-event only participants do not have to register or attend the Summit.

About the Partners
The Open Government Partnership was launched in 2011 to provide an international platform for domestic reformers committed to making their governments more open, accountable, and responsive to citizens. Read more about OGP here.

The Feminist Open Government Initiative is an initiative of the Open Government Project aiming to a) establish an international coalition of partners to drive effective participation for all in open government processes. b) design and implement new gender-aware OGP commitments; and c) build evidence around the impact that gender equality in open government can have on improving responsive government and public service delivery. Veuillez noter que les participant(e)s à la journée du Gouvernement Ouvert Féministe (FOGO) doivent également s'inscrire au Sommet du PGO, mais que celles et ceux qui participent à l'événement de réseautage ne sont pas tenus de le faire.
