(given at the event) As Humans, we all communicate in one way or another – but is it as simple as we think?We often take our ability to communicate for granted. This session delves into the deeper processes involved in communication, how to enhance your own as well as impact others' interactions and teaches you how to hone in and adapt your skills in different situations. You will leave with a heightened curiosity for the skill you thought you knew so well and feeling empowered to improve your daily interactions. A handbook of tips will be provided to take away with you! Key topics include:Processes of understanding and using languageInteracting on a deeper levelListening skillsCommunicating assertively and learning to say ‘no’ effectivelyCommunicating with compassionUnderstanding communication differences The session includes interactive sections and opportunities for discussion and questions, however you can choose how much to participate. Solo attendees welcome. PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately this event takes place in a room that is not wheelchair accessible.
