Focus on Pollinators! An Introduction to Macro Photography 

Join Florida Museum photographers and educators in a two-day pollinator themed macro photography workshop. Learn basic photography techniques and the basics of macro photography and take advantage of the opportunity to have one-on-one live instruction with professionals. Fees are $60 for virtual workshop and $40 optional for in person field experience (Must attend 10/24 for 10/25)Workshops are designed for •	Beginners in wildlife and macro photography •	Insect and plant enthusiasts •	Beginner to Intermediate level photographers interested in learning more about macro photography •	Must be 18 and up to participate. •	Youth, ages 14-17, may participate if accompanied by a paying adult.Each Workshop will be led by Alberto Lopez Torres, Museum Educator and Kristen Grace, Museum Photographer (biographies available)•	Focus on Pollinators Virtual Workshop –session one- On the first day you will have an opportunity to learn about the basic equipment and techniques that will help you improve your skills in wildlife macro photography live from the comfort of your home. Topics include lenses/equipment, lighting, techniques, tips, tricks and hacks and ethics of nature photography•	OPTIONAL Focus on Pollinators Field Experience (session one required to participate) – On the second day we will put all the skills learned to practice by taking pictures in the field at UF’s Natural Area Teaching Laboratory (adjacent to the museum) and the museum’s outdoor butterfly garden.(Social distancing guidelines will be implemented on second day of the workshop. Masks will be required to participate.)
