The parents and filmmakers of Cow Heavy And Floral invite you to a focus group private screening of our mission-driven short film moderated by none other than Caryn Coleman of The Future Of Film Is Female!

This unique film with the tagline "a film by parents" is made for parents and dreamers. We want to spark dialogue about the themes showcased in the film. The 15-min film screening will be followed by the focus group discussion. Your feedback will be invaluable in helping us chisel the path this film can take in the world.

Host Bios

Richa Rudola is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker from India. Her films have screened at 45+ festivals around the world and won 10+ awards. As an artist she has been supported by The Future Of Film Is Female, New York Stage & Film, Tasveer, Stowe Narrative Lab, and Diverse Intelligence Summer Institute.

With a multifaceted background in consulting and risk management, Richa combines analytical power with emotional storytelling to create thought-provoking cinema with a heart. She has served in leadership roles for film organizations such as Pano and Filmshop.

She is drawn to stories of courage, even more as a new mother.

Caryn Coleman is a film programmer and founder/director of The Future of Film is Female.

Lela Meadow-Conner is a Creative Producer, Curator and the founder of mamafilm - producing and exhibiting stories through a maternal lens. She has 20 years of experience in independent cinema exhibition. Current projects include the CHASING CHASING AMY (Tribeca,2023); the narrative short RUN AMOK (Vimeo Staff Pick), and the upcoming feature of the same title; and THE SPICE POET, in development with Priyanka Chopra’s Purple Pebble Pictures.

Robin Rose Singer is an award-winning producer and writer of narrative film, documentary, and TV. Her projects have played major festivals like Tribeca, TIFF, NBC/Universal and have received global distribution. Recently, two of her films were supported by Producers’ Guild programs. She specializes in true stories and adaptations with big emotional impact and cinematic storytelling.

Apoorva Bakshi is an International Emmy Award-winning producer, most notably known for her hit-making skills with Netflix Series DELHI CRIME and THE HUNT FOR VEERAPPAN. A festival darling, her films have been invited to play at Cannes, TIFF, Sundance, Busan and SXSW.

She serves as a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Golden Karavan and Awedacious Originals carving her niche as one of the youngest producers of ambitious South Asian and global productions.
