Where is Focus on Advocacy Day?

This year our "home base" will be the United Churches of Olympia https://www.theunitedchurches.org.  This space was the best option available to WSPTA this year. We will have some activities and lunch available at the Church, but please still plan to visit lawmakers in the Capitol.

Where should I park?

Accepted Answer

Only attendees requiring ADA accessible parking with a valid placard will be able to park at the United Churches of Olympia. Others should plan to park in the Capitol complex's visitor parking. The Department of Natural Resources lot is the closest option. Please give yourself time and carpool!

Is this Church welcoming and accepting of all?

Yes, the United Churches of Olympia "makes explicit the welcome of LGBTQIA+ " and is committed to social justice issues. You can read more on their stances here: https://www.theunitedchurches.org/

Question 4

The docent-led tours are all sold out. Can I get on a wait list?

We are not taking a wait list this year for the tours but remember, you can also take a public tour. Tour information can be found here: https://capitol.wa.gov/tours/legislative-building-tours.
