Doug Fir Lounge is an intimate Music Venue located underground below the full service Doug Fir Restaurant and Bar. We are just a few blocks east of the Burnside Bridge on the corner of 9th and East Burnside in Portland, Oregon.Beginning in 2024 all Doug Fir events will take place at our new location at 301 SE Morrison Street.

<h3><a href="https://www.foamboyband.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">FOAMBOY</a></h3><p>Foamboy are a Portland-based pop duo comprised of producer Wil Bakula and vocalist Katy Ohsiek. Wil and Katy worked together for many years in other projects before creating their debut pop album, My Sober Daydream, in 2020 and releasing it in 2021. My Sober Daydream has launched this duo into a new stage of their careers, earning recognition from indie greats including KCRW, Consequence of Sound, and Week in Pop. Foamboy has graced some of Portland’s favorite stages, including Holocene and Alberta St. Pub. Listeners can expect jazz-inspired danceable pop with a hyper-personal lyrical edge.</p><p>To follow in the success of their debut album, Foamboy is releasing a new single on July 10, with an EP coming later in 2022. Audiences will enjoy an extension of their established sound, as it grows into a new, dreamy direction while staying true to its pop roots.</p><p></p>

<h3><a href="https://hardyes.bandcamp.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">HARD YES</a></h3><p>Hard Yes is the brother duo of Jack &amp; Charlie Peacock.  The two finally started writing music together during the pandemic, and haven't stopped since.  All tunes are written, recorded, and produced by Jack &amp; Charlie in their basement near Irving Park.  If you can imagine whatever "Bi-costal Indie" would sound like - that is exactly what they're trying to write.  See you at the show! </p>

<h3><a href="https://upisthedownisthe.bandcamp.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">UP IS THE DOWN IS THE </a></h3><p>Up Is The Down Is The was started in 2015 by as a looping project inspired by Andrew Bird, Thom Yorke, Moses Sumney, and James Blake. After inviting more and more musicians to collaborate and expanding instrumentation, the project evolved into a 4 piece teetering on the edge between art rock, R&amp;B, and electronic minimalism.</p><p>In 2020, the group started writing music as a way of processing the isolation from the covid pandemic, and they’ve created their most innovative driving sound yet. Their upcoming album “Pulling The Wool” will be released in August 2022. Up Is The Down Is The is made up of Andrew Martin, Zach Sherwood (Western Daughter), Cameron Brizzee (Western Daughter), and Casey Cathy (Transistor Send).</p>
