Flying Blind is a 90s alternative rock outfit that consists of Scott Beck (Drums), Matt Brown (Vocals), Keith Cole (Guitar), Steve Christian (Bass), Andrew Franca (Keyboard/ Bass) and Jeff Green (Guitar). Together they began as an acoustic rock band in California’s Central Valley initially paying their dues playing backyard parties. Eventually they embraced electric instruments and here they found their stride. From those early backyard parties to bigger shows at various clubs, street fairs and events throughout the Central Valley, Flying Blind steadily built a fanbase and enough traction to allow them to produce and release their self-titled debut record in 1997 as well as their second album Push in 2000.
After receiving local radio airplay, they quickly sold out the Modesto Center Plaza for their Push album release party. The success of this event led to them sign with Universal Republic Records where they re-released Push worldwide. Their single, “Smokescreen”, gained critical attention and was included in the American Pie 2 soundtrack. After relocating to Los Angeles, the band took a short hiatus only to return to the stage in the early 2010’s. This rebirth has endured and today Flying Blind is vibrant and touring, bringing their unique brand of 90’s nostalgia to stages up and down the state and beyond, delivering the same energy and passion that their fans have always known and loved.
