The Hunter Park GardenHouse, a project of Allen Neighborhood Center, is a hub for year-round farm & garden education, where neighbors volunteer to grow food, flowers, and community, and where youth develop job and life skills in service to the neighborhood.Since 2008, the Hunter Park GardenHouse has empowered neighbors to grow, prepare, and eat healthy food to better their health and become better connected with the community.  We are open 6 days a week and offer a wide assortment of programs. Our current programs include: this gardening workshops series, garden & plant supplies, growing food, and the Youth Service Corps program. Learn how to create a beautiful, cut-flower garden, and which flower varieties work best for bouquets. Make and take home your own bouquet. Workshop led by MSU perennial garden manager, Bethany Troy.
In effort to offer exceptional gardening workshops to our community, we try to price the workshops to cover our costs of hosting them, while keeping the registration affordable for our neighbors. This application is for a workshop registration waiver which is intended for neighbors who cannot afford the $12 registration for our GardenHouse workshops.
