This in-person class will cover the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ principles in detail, with a focus on practices that are intended to reduce water, fertilizer, and pesticides by selecting and maintaining plants that thrive, provide nutrients and habitat for birds, pollinators, and other wildlife, and help keep pollution out of our water ways. Join us at 4Roots Farm to learn more about how your landscape can be designed to look the way you want, fit the aesthetics of your community, be low maintenance, and support the overall well-being of Florida’s natural resources.This class will be taught by Dr. Heather Kalaman, Horticulture Extension Faculty with UF/IFAS Extension Orange County.Cost for Registration: $10-Registration includes access to the class, two take home Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ books, and a pollinator-friendly flower seed packet.Registration: Only Orange County Master Garden Volunteers, $5.00Cancellation policy: Classes are subject to cancellation if a minimum number of attendees are not booked. If class is cancelled you will receive a notification, and a refund confirmation to the e-mail that is provided during the registration process. Refunds for class cancellations may take up to 30 days to process if registration fee is paid by cash or check.Accessibility policy: The University of Florida is committed to providing universal access to all of our events.
