Event description

Description

Cybersecurity continues to be a concern for government and the private sector. It has enormous implications for government security, economic prosperity and public safety. States are addressing cybersecurity through various initiatives, such as providing more funding for improved security measures, requiring government agencies or businesses to implement specific types of security practices, increasing penalties for computer crimes, addressing threats to critical infrastructure and more.

On Wednesday, November 20, the Foundation of Associated Industries of Florida will convene industry executives, issue experts and senior government officials for a current look at cybersecurity, its impact on the business community, and how the public and private sectors are working together to better fortify Florida. High-level discussions will explore the most significant cyber-threats to companies and our state’s critical infrastructure, how to manage risk and improve resiliency, evaluating liabilities and the marketplace for cyber insurance, and efforts to ensure the security of Florida’s election systems.
