About Flight:Flight is a beautiful and intimate wine bar located in the historic Chinatown neighborhood of Washington, DC. The space is warm and softly lit, and the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. The wine sourced from around the world is abundant and food delicious.About Swati & Kabir:Husband-wife duo Kabir Amir and Swati Bose opened Flight in 2014 after developing their passion for food and wine while traveling around the globe to wine-centric destinations.Both Certified Sommeliers, Kabir and Swati have a deep appreciation for wines from small, under-the-radar producers and lesser-known regions, both of which are prominently featured on Flight’s carefully curated list of 640 wines.

Back to Basics: Learn to identify basic wine aromas and flavors to better describe the wines you enjoy (and don’t!). We will discuss how to navigate wine lists at restaurants as well as how to select wines at retail stores. Our goal is to have each guest leave the class more comfortable tasting and ordering wines while continuing to expand their knowledge of the world of wine.
 
Flight Wine Bar offers a wine tasting class on the last Saturday of every month as part of a new wine education series. Each class includes a tasting of four wines from a specific country, taking guests on a global journey exploring the tastes and terroir of the world’s finest wine regions. Complimentary bites will be included. Kabir Amir and Swati Bose, Certified Sommeliers and owners of Flight, will lead the class on an exploration of the vast world of wine, including the processes associated with making wine and the various grape varieties and global wine regions, with additional topics incorporated each month.
Class size limited to 14 people.
