About this event

Calling all young nature explorers! Currituck County 4-H is excited to launch "Flap, Soar, and Expplore: Bird Migration", a fun and educational program for kids ages 8-14. On July 3, 2025. This program will take place at the NC Cooperative Extension office located at 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917 from 9:00am-12:00pm.

Participants will dive into the fascinating world of migrating animals, like ducks and other birds, learning how and why they travel across great distances. Through interactive migration maps, kids will track bird journeys and discover key stopover sites. The program also includes a hands-on activity where children will build their very own birdhouses, creating safe havens for local feathered friends.

There is a registration fee of 10.00. Payment can be made with a credit card via Eventbrite, or cash/check payable to NCSU. Checks and cash can be delivered to the Currituck Extension Office at 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917 within 5 days of registration..
