Austin Resource Recovery

<P>Is there a fallen hem in your favorite shirt? Did your blender suddenly stop working? Is your child's toy a little worse for the wear? Bring these items and more to the Fix-It Clinic where volunteer coaches with repair know-how will be available to teach you how to fix your item.</P>
<P>Fix-It Clinics are all about do-it-together hands-on disassembly, troubleshooting and repair knowledge. Fix-It Clinic attendees are expected to be active participants in trying to fix their items with guidance from our coaches. Attendees should plan to stay with their items. Dropping off of items for repair will not be permitted.</P>

<P>At this Fix-It Clinic, you can learn how to fix almost anything! Including:</P>

<LI>Jewelry</LI>
<LI>Accessories</LI>
<LI>Toys</LI>
<LI>Small Appliances</LI>
<LI>Electronics</LI>
<LI>Books</LI>
</UL>
<P>All ages are welcome, but children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.</P>
<P>Choose your ticket based on the item(s) you plan to bring and when you'll arrive. If the ticket you are looking for is sold out, though we can't guarantee availability of our coaches, you are welcome to come to the clinic with your item and we will do our best to accomodate you.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">In order to ensure an effective, fair, and fun event, attendees have a limit of <STRONG>two items for repair per visit</STRONG>. If time permits and if there are Fixit Coaches available to assist in the repair, attendees can then work to repair additional items. The two item limit ensures that Fixit Clinics remain community events focused on sharing repair knowledge with the greatest number of people. </P>

<P>What to bring: Your broken stuff and a desire to learn how to fix it! Sewing machines and other tools will be available for you to use, but you can also bring your own machines and tools if you prefer. If you have a replacement part, missing button, a fabric patch, matching thread, etc. that you suspect might help you fix your item, please bring it with you.</P>
