First Hack Dallas

As alumni of Coding Dojo, a 14 week immersive multi-stack coding bootcamp, the members of 'First Hack' were compelled tocontinue to work together to empower newer developers and developers to-be. Our goal was to create a community that would come together and "level-up" their coding skills while delivering a fully functional web platform to a non-profit or small business that served the greater good. We are designed to be more "newbie-friendly" by providing volunteer mentors throughout the event to help get through troublesome sticking points.

Free Local Mentor Supported Hackathon Event Alert: First Hack Dallas is an effort organized by a group of local web developers to provide an opportunity for newer developers (Entry-Junior level) to participate in a hackathon challenge without the typical intimidation factor of competing against the elite developers. This mentor supported event is designed to produce a deliverable of a functioning website to be donated to a non-profit or small business serving the non-profit type community that does not have the resources to develop their own site. Participating hackers will have food and sodas, raffle prize, grand prize for the winning team, the opportunity to meet current developers from the field, as well the the camaraderie of working with other developers. Registration is required and seats are limited, so sign up now at <A HREF="http://www.firsthackdallas.com" TARGET="_self" TITLE="First Hack Dallas" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">http://firsthackdallas.com/</A>   (REGISTRATION SHOULD BE COMPLETED ON OUR WEBSITE.)
