First Fridays Fort Wayne with Amy Hanna (The Respect Team)
Event Information
About this Event
Our December speaker will be Amy Hanna is the executive director of the RespectTeam, a non-profit organization that encourages self-respect and respect of others through educational programs and relevant connections to the community. She is one of Fort Wayne's finest community connectors.
The RespectTeam was founded in 2015 and speaks to over 9,000 area middle school and high school students each year. They also empower adult influencers in teenagers' lives through the RespectTeam Podcast and online parenting workshops, and they engage with organizations that serve as resources for teens and their families. Amy has spoken across the state in various settings on various topics for over 20 years, and has trained professional speakers for the past 5 years.
However, two years ago, she was diagnosed with a vocal condition that took her ability to project her voice. This diagnosis has completely changed the course of her life and forced her to multiply herself by training others to be her "voice" in the schools, which in turn doubled their business reach and tripled their sponsorships. Amy has learned that although life may throw you a curve ball, it's important to keep on swinging.
We are excited to hear Amy's message and her leadership journey.
