About this event

  • 2 hours

In an attempt to recognize those within our community who exhibit exemplary citizenship and who set a high standard in their personal character, the Kiwanis Club of Borger is instituting an annual event whereby individuals whose life is evidenced by certain and obvious actions that indicate these traits are recognized.

On Saturday, June 8th at 6pm at the Frank Phillips Library we invite you to join us in recognizing Jerry Langwell at a dinner reception. The event is the First Annual Diamond Reveal.

For this first event a single individual has been chosen. But, it is the intent of this annual ceremony to allow our community to nominate individuals who exhibit selflessness, are sacrificial and humble; who are servant-minded and put others interests above their own. Those who go above and beyond, work behind the scenes or are unseen by the public, and do not look for recognition and are unassuming. In short, "gems" in our community.

The purpose of this annual event is to honor those who characterize exemplary citizenship and model high personal character in attitude and action--with family, at work and in the community. The event is not a fundraiser nor for profit. It is a community service event to thank and honor those who labor tirelessly among us.
