Citizen Skull brings you First and Third Wednesdays, a bimonthly Eastside-based mixer hosted in Silver Lake at The Red Lion Tavern for active professionals who want to foster community, forge relationships, and talk all about the industry, or really anything but.
This is a film and television-based networking event intended for currently staffed (or recently displaced) individuals and freelancers working on set, in-office, and off-camera (no actors, please).
Our get-together started in May 2024 as a literary and development-based one, focused on working writers, directors, producers, executives, agents, managers, supervisors, and assistants of all stripes. In the year since then, our community has grown, and now also includes casting folk and below-the-line talent.

Please know that this gathering is intended as a safe space for all atendees, and your reading of this description an open invite to bring along your own favorite collaborators, new connections, and dear friends, so long as they are put forth in good faith, and done so with intention and care (read: no assholes).
So, come! Join us for your next "let's grab drinks" drink, as we do provide alcohol and food discounts for such matters. If you can't make it to the upcoming one, feel free to RSVP for a later date while you're here. Eventbrite will add it to your calendar, and we'll see you then, then! If not, just know you're always free to drop in without an RSVP (obviously).
Westsiders and Valley-dwellers are also welcome, (big ups to the 818). If you're brave enough to venture out past the 405 or 170, we'd love to have you. As to Burbank and Glendale, just hop on down Zoo Dr. and you'll be imbibing with us in no time. You know where we are.
Sincerly,
Jacob Hayman*
*5/15/24: While I will continue handling the event's digital footprint, through August 2024, Stephen Mastrocola (Static Films) will be babysitting, as the official/unofficial co-host, in my stead. He's much better at it anyways.
