This is the last of the fire safety and building class, where we will be practicing building different fire structures and learning how to build a proper fire pit in the woods. The first class is required to take the second and third classes.
This class will be all about putting the knowledge from the previous 2 sessions to the ultimate test. We will once again briefly do a recap of everything from the previous few sessions. Then we will trek into the woods to find a spot to set up our fire pit. (and if the group wants to build a very simple shelter). Together, we will dig/ create the fire pit and decide which structure we would like to use to actually build our fire. Working together, we should be able to get a good fire going, and if successful, we will end the whole class by roasting some amazing treats over the fire!
This will be a 3-part class taking place in November and December, with each class being a continuation of the previous one.
Throughout the course, you will learn how to safely build a fire from the ground up using minimal tools, with each session taking knowledge from the previous and ramping it up until the final session. During which we will trudge out into the woods, find ourselves a great, safe spot, and use knowledge from the previous sessions to collectively make a fire.
