Artist Kaori Homma reveals the secret of invisible Ink, the Aburidashi - Fire Etching method. Come and join artist for a special workshop to create your own secret image. The Fire Etching- Aburidashi is a Japanese traditional art, used down through the centuries primarily as a method of espionage rather than an artistic technique. Homma will share interesting facts and history of this process and how it relates to her own art practice through the illustrated artist talk.

Participants are introduced to the hands-on experience of fire etching to create works through the process. By the end of this workshop, participants will produce a secret image to take home with. Artists and art students are welcome but also people who have no prior experience in the arts are equally welcome. The workshop is aimed at adults but children over 12 are also welcome if they are accompanied by responsible adults.
