About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

As trauma and dissociation specialists, we encounter survivors who are confused and struggling to understand their dissociative symptoms on a regular basis. The nature of dissociation itself is daunting to understand, navigate, and address as it is often invisible to the survivor themselves as well as being a defense mechanism to survive horrible trauma(s). In this workshop, Tovah will discuss the basics of dissociation for any complex trauma survivor who is longing for more understanding and resourcing.

The questions explored in this workshop are:

What is the nature of dissociation in complex trauma survivors?

How can I understand dissociation on a spectrum rather than a rigid binary?

What are some common dissociation symptoms?

How do I know if I’m dissociating from parts of myself/my life/ certain people or memories/my body?

What is the healing trajectory for dissociative trauma survivors?

How can I support myself on the healing journey?
