Finding Neutrality: Regulating Our Nervous System During Uncertain Times
A Backbend Workshop
Sunday, May 25th | 12–2:30ISH
860 Upper Sweeney Creek Loop, Florence, MA 59833
Join us for a deep and intentional journey into the heart of regulation, integration, and release. Finding Neutrality is a backbend-focused workshop designed to help us explore the power of the nervous system in the face of uncertainty. Through the lens of yin and yang, we will move through practices that help us physically process and alchemize sadness, rage, and the dissonance of our times.
Yang:
We’ll begin with dynamic movement and somatic exploration, focusing on how the body carries and processes emotional intensity. Using backbends as a portal, we’ll explore what it means to find neutrality—not in bypass, but in embodied balance.
Yin to Breath:
We’ll close with grounding yin shapes and meditation to help clear the mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies, offering deep rest and recalibration.
Flow of the Day:
• Opening Circle
• Yang-Inspired Flow
• Workshop Exploration
• Yin & Meditation & Integration
Facilitated by:
Cristen Rak & Erin Anderson
