Finding Courage to Connect

Find your people, Find your practice. We are a place where community and contemplation meet. No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region, and online through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Your partnership helps make this nonprofit possible.(As a social enterprise, the Hive shares our story with photos of classes and events. If you are opposed to sharing your lovely face, let us know and we'll do our best to avoid that. But, by using an event ticket you agree to let The Hive share your image in photo, audio, and video form. For Zoom classes we occassionally announce if we elecet to record- please let your host or faciliator know if you do not want to be recorded.)

Lets admit it, Twitter and 24hr news alone are not giving us the space to grow more mindful of the trauma from <SPAN>hate lodged within our bodies, our neighbors' bodies, and our nation</SPAN>. We're "travelling too fast over false ground" and we could use some space, some healthy boundaries, and we need one another; space to re-learn connection- within ourselves, and with the other.</SPAN></DIV>

<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj"><SPAN>Come help us hold that sort of space. If you've already been to the Hive come put your practice to work. If you haven't, we hope you'll sweeten the pot with your own practice and wisdom, helping us hold a safe space for transformation. Tension takes time, so we'll grow this at the "speed of trust"... no need to rush it.</SPAN></DIV>

<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj"><SPAN>These free, open, events are for anyone willing to listen and learn. No forced sharing. No yelling or guilt tripping. Just small group interaction with an ethic of compassion for self and others. There will not be a specific faith tradition orienting the night except what indviduals brings into the conversation. The 90 minutes will include a brief "Ted Talk" sort of framing, guided meditation, some failicated dialogue exploring subjects like trauma and difference, and then we'll leave the Hive open for causal conversation. Please register and arrive on time as the gathering is designed to be the shared responsibilty of one cohesive group.</SPAN></DIV>
