A first of its kind for West Philly with a welcome by Philadelphia Councilwoman Jamie Gauthier!
This half-day Financial Wellness Fair features multiple banks, lenders, and mortgage providers along with community organizations who can guide you to a path of financial wellness and prosperity.
The day will begin at 10am with light refreshments with various sessions regarding financial topics ranging from repairing/restoring credit; all about mortgages and refinancing; saving for large purchases like college, a vacation, or home renovations; how much money one should save for retirement; making sense out of investments like stocks and bonds; leaving a financial legacy for your children, and more.
Lunch will be served and small prizes will be given away. Attendees can also register for the RiseUp Fund $5000 non-repayable grant toward closing costs as well as get pre-qualified or pre-approved for a loan. This will be an intimate setting with financial and housing counselors on hand to answer your immediate and personal questions in a private setting. Secure your free ticket today.

The entire event is four hours split up into 30 minute presentations on a variety of topics relating to finance, generational wealth, buying a home, repairing/restoring credit, and more. Philadelphia Councilwoman will be giving opening remarks at 10AM sharp.

Absolutely not. This is a day of educational programming to help you make decisions about your financial present and future, while potentially mitigating financial errors from your past. No presentation will be sales-related.
The day runs in 30-minute sessions with financial experts specializing in: buying a home, mortgages, repairing/restoring credit, obtaining a credit card, how credit works, saving for the future, leaving a family legacy, and more. YOU choose which session(s) you want to attend based on your interest.
Yes. Loan officers from various banks and lending institutions will be on hand to answer your specific questions and help you fill out an application, should you desire. There will be no pressure on anyone at any time to sign up for any of the professional services being offered.
Yes. There will be private financial and housing counselors on hand to address your specific needs in a private and confidential setting. If you don't feel comfortable asking a question for the rest of the seminar attendees to hear, please find one of these experts in the back of the room.
No. Daycare won't be offered however, children are likely the reason you want to attend in the first place! Setting a positive example for your children will help them establish good habits later in life, but we ask you leave children under 16 at home with a responsible adult.

RiseUp's mission is to accelerate generational wealth of the underserved through homeownership. Each year, RiseUp grants thousands of dollars to low-moderate-income families to help them purchase their first home. You can apply for the grant at the event or online at www.riseupfund.org.
Not at all. You have the flexibility and choice to attend 1 or all 8 sessions being offered. You will receive an agenda of the topics being discussed and select which ones interest you. Not interested in purchasing a home? No need to attend that session. Want to repair your credit? Attend that one!
