Financial Capability Event

Lloyds Banking Group and UK Youth work together to deliver the Money for Life Programme.UK Youth is the largest national body for the youth sector. Money for Life is a three-year programme aimed at equipping 16-25 year olds across the UK with the knowledge, life skills and provision needed to manage their money. Youth Scotland is the network of youth clubs and groups across Scotland.The University of Edinburgh provides academic research into young adult financial capability through the Business School.

Young adulthood is a period in life when young people take on greater responsibility for their own financial affairs, and a range of financial products become available to them. The need for financial capability is particularly important at this time. 
The event will share insight into research that highlights the challenges and issues young people face in money matters; promote awareness of the importance of developing financial capability for young people; demonstrate how we are supporting this through the Money for Life programme. 
Participants will have the chance to experience the Money for Life programme by participating in one of our money masterclasses facilitated by Youth Scotland.
Taking place in the historic Museum on the Mound, the event also incorporates a tour of the Museum, revealing the fascinating story of money, and a networking reception.
