Where should I park?

There is a parking lot in front (W side) of the building just off of N Garfield Ave and it is free parking.

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Bring your favorite figure drawing supplies, this includes any art supplies you want to use like pastels, pens, paint, etc. If you forget, we have charcoal and newsprint available as well. We have easels and chairs provided.

Question 3

Should I tip the model? How much?

Accepted Answer

It is nice to tip the model, and $1-5 is customary for a tip. They are paid an hourly rate by us, but tips are very much appreciated!

Do I have to reserve my spot on EventBrite?

We appreciate if you reserve your spot via EventBrite so we know how many people to expect when we set up the space.

How do I pay for the figure drawing session?

Accepted Answer

Currently, we accept cash and Venmo payments in person at the session. It is $15 per session. We may have payments through EventBrite or punch cards in the future.

Is there an instructor for the figure drawing session?

No, these are uninstructed figure drawing sessions designed for attendees to practice their figure drawing skills with a live model.

Question 7

Do I have to be good at figure drawing or art to attend?

Accepted Answer

No, we encourage folks of all artistic abilities to attend and are a non-judgmental safe space for attendees.
