This course serves as the "classroom" portion of the FHP Assistant Training. Participants must also complete the clinical portion after completing the classroom portion under the direction of the MTF FHE-A Program Manager (PM) where the applicant will assist the FHE-A.

• Applicant must be approved by the MTF FHP PM where the applicant will be assisting the FHE-A.

• Contact the MTF FHE-A PM for assistance if interested in becoming a FHP Assistant. The candidates primarily consist of DHA and DoD Military LPNs, Medics, and Corpsmen. SARCs or VAs cannot attend.

The FHP Assistant training is designed to support the approved candidate with the knowledge and skills required in assisting the FHE-A during the medical forensic examination of the adult and adolescent forensic healthcare patient.

This training is taught by DHA/Military FHE-As.

The training is conducted via MS Teams. The Applicant must be able to view the presentations and follow along via MS Teams. Once accepted the Applicant will receive a Teams link prior to the training.

The training is conducted 0800-1200 CST. The student must coordinate with the PM for the clinical portion which must be completed within 30 days of the didactic.
