What is Homeownership Affordability in the Post-COVID World? This Summit will examine how fundamental changes in supply and demand dynamics over the past four years require a rethinking of policy approaches for expanding homeownership opportunity. Session one is a panel discussion with four unique perspectives on affordability challenges today. Session two consists of three research presentations, each highlighting data-based analysis of what has changed and how that impacts entry to homeowners today.

Our panelists are: Chris Bruen, Director of Research, National Multifamily Housing Council; Doug Duncan, Chief Economist, Fannie Mae; Toccarra Nicole Thomas, Director of Land Use and Development for Smart Growth America; and Lisa Sturtevant, Chief Economist, Bright MLS.

Research presentations will be from: Gary Acosta, CEO, National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals; Riordan Frost, Senior Research Analyst, Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies; and Sam Khater, Chief Economist, Freddie Mac.

Host and FHFA Deputy Director for Research and Statistics, Anju Vajja, will share opening remarks.

Participant sign-in and lunch start at 12:00pm. The formal program begins at 1:00pm and ends at 5:00pm. A virtual registration option is available for those unable to attend in person.
