Dylan Palmer is a sculptor and furniture maker who merges traditional woodworking with cutting-edge digital fabrication. As a CNC operator by trade with a degree in architecture and design, he pushes the boundaries of craftsmanship by integrating 3D modeling and virtual reality into his creative process. Working from his Green Shed—a compact backyard workshop—he utilizes digital tools to maximize efficiency within a limited space.
By sculpting in virtual reality, rapidly explored organic forms are then translated into CNC-routed sculptures, bowls, and furniture. His work embodies a dialogue between the handmade and the machine-made, embracing both the warmth of wood and the precision of technology. Through this fusion of old and new, he crafts pieces that challenge conventional woodworking while remaining deeply rooted in material integrity and functional design.
