Kouzen Zaka and his female counterpart Kouzin, are the patron loas of agriculture in Haitian Vodou. They are heavily revered and worked with as they are the perfect energies to call upon for success in one's business endeavors.


The best day to work with them is Friday and their colors include: both light & dark denim, plaid, khaki, green, yellow, red, and straw accessories such as a hat, a satchel (djakout), and a pipe.

This event will include:

  • Contest with prizes for best dressed Kouzen and best dressed Kouzin. We encourage attendees to think outside of the box when putting together their looks, think fashion forward anchored in tradition
  • Trivia & prizes pertaining to the spirits
  • Fashion show exhibiting traditional garments
  • Musical performances by Metrès Riva, Zaro (Madan Jack) and other surprise guests

  • Tab Ofrann (Nich Kouzen) is a space created specifically for Kouzen & Kouzin, you are welcome to bring an offering of your own to contribute to the altar. Offerings include but are not limited to: money, kleren, herbs, tobacco, produce, fresh fruit or flowers.
