The River Festivus Planning Committee  is part of the Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce,  an organization through which community volunteers work together to make Burkesville, Marrowbone, and all of Cumberland County a better place to live, work and play.Our mission is to improve the quality of life for all the people of Cumberland County. Our work is accomplished by promoting, supporting, and planning activities and events that foster positive community and economic development. River Festivus Planning Committee

The Festivus 5k is part of the annual River Festivus. Proceeds from the  2022 Festivus 5K will benefit the Cumberland County 4-H program.

Burkesville

The Festivus 5K is one of the feature events of the River Festivus held each year in Burkesville, Kentucky. Join us for an adventure up, down, and around Alpine Hill that overlooks the City of Burkesville and the Cumberland River Valley. The Festivus 5K is scheduled for August 20th at 8:00 AM. Check-In/Registration will start at 7:00 AM on the square in Burkesville at Cumberland County Welcome Center located 111 Hill Street.The cost to register for the Festivus 5K is $30. Each participant that registers before August 1st we be guaranteed an event shirt T-shirt with the correct size.
