Join IDEAS For Us and Save the Manatee Club for a discussion on efforts to help our manatee populations and the importance of fertilizer free landscaping. Cora, Director of Multimedia and Manatee Research Associate at the Manatee Club, will give a presentation on the effects of fertilizer use on waterways including seagrass and springs, and how that impacts the manatees, including the ongoing Unusual Mortality Event. This event will cover the essential roles of local community efforts, local governance, and advocacy for Florida native landscaping. We will include a breakout session at the end to brainstorm actionable efforts we can do to help our manatees!
