Gaelic Language-register before 6/1/19
Language Instructor's: Catriona Parsons, Frances Acar, Archie Campbell, and Rachel McPherson. Develop your conversational abilities with Gaelic language instruction. Gaelic language majors will spend the morning in intensive verbal exercises intended to help you achieve your goal of expressing yourself in simple, idiomatic Gaelic. If you have never studied Gaelic before, sign up for Beginner, if you have some Gaelic, but have trouble getting past “Hi, how are you?” then sign up for Emerging Speaker. Try Advanced if you can carry on short conversations in Gaelic, or Immersion for the total Gaelic experience with limited English.

Gaelic Song-register before 6/1/19
Instructor: Kathleen MacInnes. Study a broad range of songs in your morning classes. Singing is such an important part of Gaelic culture that in addition to being offered as a major subject, there will be ample opportunity for all participants to learn and sing together.

Gaelic Music-register before 6/1/19
Instrument-specific instruction will be provided in bagpipe, fiddle, harp and accordion. Instructor's: Bagpipe-Rona Lightfoot, Fiddle-Ewen Henderson, Harp-Ingrid Henderson, Accordion-Gary Innes. Students should bring their own instruments. If you play a different instrument, you are welcome to attend classes in order to learn repertoire and traditions. Indicate your level on the registration form and we’ll pass the information on to the presenters to help with their planning. Evenings will include traditional music sessions for instrumentalists.

Donation for Fèis Registration Award
SnG will be offering a few Fèis Registration Awards to a limited number of deserving applicants. SnG is only able to provide these awards due to the generosity of a few wonderful donors like you. Moran Taing - Many thanks to you kind folks for your donations. Awards will be granted to applicants who best display the ability to benefit themselves and give back to the Gaelic community. The Award amount is 50% off the full standard registration cost. We appreciate donations in any amount.

Slighe nan Gaidheal’s mission is to teach and disseminate to the general public the Scottish Gaelic language in its contemporary and historical context through classes, performances, and the encouragement of its routine use.

 Since 1997, we have built a dynamic and active membership base and grown into a lively, welcoming community of language-learners, musicians, singers, dancers, historians, artists, storytellers, and Celtic scholars.
