Missing Chicago&#x27;s outdoor summer street fests? Right now we can&#x27;t provide the crowds, but we can provide entertainment from local bands at Feed Chicago Summer Virtual Fest, a new one-hour livestream &quot;mini street fest&quot; that you can enjoy from home.Join us online, anywhere on Thursday, June 18, 2020.Not only will you be able to see several of your favorite street fest performers (and keep tabs on what they&#x27;re doing), but you can also donate to a great beneficiary that needs your support right now: The Greater Chicago Food Depository.The Lineup includes Omar Sanchez Omi, Dennis DeYoung, Jim Peterik, Sixteen Candles, Michael McDermott, Wedding Banned, Twin Peaks, Dave Specter, Liz Mandeville, and Boy Band Review.Feed Chicago Virtual Summer Fest will bring a little sunshine to Chicagoans! It will also remind you of the fun of the city&#x27;s outdoor street fest season.Things will be back to normal in due time. Before then there&#x27;s no better way to celebrate the future and benefit a great cause with several of your favorite local bands at this livestream event! <h3>About Our Beneficiary</h3>The Greater Chicago Food Depository is Chicago’s food bank. We provide food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in our community. Every year, we provide food and hope to hundreds of thousands of individuals and families across Cook County.A UNITED COMMUNITY EFFORT TO DELIVER FOOD AND HOPEThe Food Depository is part of a united community effort working to bring food, dignity and hope to our Cook County neighbors. We are at the center of a network of more than 700 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other programs. These programs provide food where it’s most needed. We also address the root causes of hunger. Public benefits outreach and job training programs offer a hand up for our neighbors to overcome hunger and poverty.Each day, the Food Depository distributes the equivalent of 171,000 meals to people in need across Cook County. By taking hunger off the table, we enable families to focus on other priorities, like education, growth and security. We enable communities to face their challenges with confidence.
