Tampa Bay Women's Business Centre(WBC), is part of a national network of WBC's dedicated to helping  entrepreneurs to launch and grow their own businesses.Funded through the Federal office of Women's Business Ownership, our team of professionals help entrepreneurs with training and coaching in entrepreneurial readiness, business plan development, networking, strategic planning, finance preparedness, career transition and access to capital.From registering your business to hiring your first employee, we’re here to help you start and grow your local small business. Tampa Bay Women’s Business Centre is a WBC resource partner, funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Small Business Administration (SBA). The Office of Women’s Business Ownership’s mission is to establish and oversee a network of Women’s Business Centers (WBCs) throughout the United States and its territories. Through the management and technical assistance provided by the WBCs, entrepreneurs – especially women who are economically or socially disadvantaged – are offered comprehensive training and counseling on a vast array of topics to help clients start and grow their own businesses.It is currently the only WBC funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) on the West Coast of Florida serving the needs of start-ups and existing owned businesses in our area. Federal Contracting Certification: 8(a) Learn how the SBA's 8(a) Business Development Program helps small, disadvantaged businesses compete in the marketplace. This class focuses on the benefits of this program. It also covers the eligibility requirements necessary to participate.•	The 8(a) Business Development Program is a business assistance program for small disadvantaged businesses. The 8(a) Program offers a broad scope of assistance to firms that are owned and controlled at least 51% by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.•	There are substantial benefits of partaking in the program, such as the consideration and preference for government procurement.•	The 8(a) Program is an essential instrument for helping socially and economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs gain access to the economic mainstream of American society. The program helps thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs to gain a foothold in government contracting.* Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. Presenter: Mark Ryan is regarded as one of the foremost experts on government socioeconomic program certifications. He has been selected by the SBA as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for their lifecycle training for 8(a) program participants. He is also extraordinarily focused on client relations, personally becoming very familiar with each client’s business arrangement and government business goals.
