How long does the class take?

About 90 minutes. A short presentation is followed by hands‑on practice with direct pressure, wound‑packing, and tourniquets.

Is this appropriate for a child or teenager?

Accepted Answer

This course is designed to teach critical, rapid, and easy to learn skills to stop bleeding in most situations. There is no minimum age requirement - but some content or mannequins may be graphic for some students. We welcome young people to learn how they can help others or themselves.

Do I need prior medical training?

No. The course is aimed at lay rescuers. Techniques are simple, step‑by‑step, and practiced on task trainers.

Will the slides or content be graphic?

Yes, they include realistic wound photos that will assist in teaching critical skills to save lives.

Is there a written test?

No - you demonstrate each skill alongside an instructor and other students to show proficiency.
